Start By:

  1. Remove the piston pump.

  2. Drain the piston pump.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and pump control (2) from the piston pump.

  2. Remove plug (3), spool (5), and plug (7) from pump control (2).

  3. Remove valve group (4). Refer to Step 12 for more instructions.

  4. Remove plug assembly (6), O-ring seals (8), O-ring seal (9), piston assembly (10), and pins (12) from pump control (2).

  5. Remove valve group (13). Refer to Step 8 for more instructions.

  6. Remove retaining ring (17), pin (15), O-ring seal (16), and lever (11) from pump control (2).

  7. Remove bushing (14) from pump control (2).

  8. Remove locknut (29) and setscrew (30) from the pump control.

  9. Remove spring (26) and retainer (23) from the pump control.

  10. Remove coil assembly (13), bolts (27), spacer (18), O-ring seal (19), and O-ring seal (28) from sleeve (22).

  11. Remove piston (25), spring (21), O-ring seals (24), and bushing (20) from sleeve (22).

  12. Remove spool (35) and pin (36) from the pump control.

  13. Remove adapter (39) from valve group (4).

  14. Remove locknut (34), setscrew (38), and O-ring seal (41) from plug (33).

  15. Remove spring retainers (37), spring (32), piston (40), and O-ring seals (31) from adapter (39).

  16. Remove hub (43) and O-ring seal (44) from flange (45).

  17. Remove bolts (42) and flange (45) from shuttle valve group (46).

  18. Remove O-ring seal (47) from flange (45).

  19. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to shuttle valve group (46).

  20. Remove bolts (48) and shuttle valve group (46).

  21. Remove bushing (48) and port plate (49) from shuttle valve group (46).

  22. Remove plugs (50), (51), (52), and the O-ring seals from the shuttle valve group.

  23. Remove dowels (55) and dowel (57) from the shuttle valve group.

  24. Use Tooling (B) to remove roller bearing (53) from the shuttle valve group.

  25. Remove break off plugs (54) and (56) from the shuttle valve group.

  26. Remove seat adjuster group (58). Remove rod adjuster assembly (59).

  27. Disassemble the seat adjuster group, as follows: rod (60), piston (61) and spring (62).

  28. Disassemble the rod adjuster assembly, as follows: rod (63), piston (64) and spring (65).

  29. Mark the position of the maximum angle stop screw (66) prior to removal from piston pump body (67). Remove maximum angle stop screw (66). Repeat for the opposite side of the piston pump in order to remove the minimum angle stop screw.

  30. Remove O-ring seal (70). Remove swashplate (69) and barrel assembly (68) as one piece.

    Note: Mark barrel (68), pistons (71), and swashplate (69) for orientation.

  31. The swashplate must be heated in order to remove bolts (75) from swashplate (69).

    Note: Bolts (75) should be replaced with new bolts.

  32. Remove retainers (73) and (74) from swashplate (69).

  33. Remove barrel (68) from swashplate (69).

  34. Remove pistons (71) and retaining plate (72) from barrel (68).

  36. Remove springs (77) and shims (78) from barrel (68).

  1. Remove the piston pump.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  3. Remove bolts (3) and mounting flange (4).

  5. Remove bolts (6) and pump control (7).

  6. Remove plug (8), the O-ring seal, pin (9), and spool (10) from pump control (7).

  7. Remove adapter (11) and the O-ring seal.

  8. Remove cap assembly (17), the O-ring seal, spring (16), spring (15), guide (14), spool (13), and sleeve (12).

  9. Remove nut (18), O-ring seal (19), solenoid (20), cartridge (21), guide (22), spring (23), and guide (24) from pump control (7).

  10. Remove cap assembly (28), the O-ring seal, guide (27), spring (26), and guide (25).

  15. Remove bolts (38). Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove head (39) from pump body (40).

  17. Remove seat adjuster group (44). Remove rod adjuster assembly (45).

  18. Remove O-ring seal (46).

  19. Disassemble the seat adjuster group, as follows: rod (47), piston (48) and spring (49).

  21. Remove bolts (53). Remove retainers (54).

  22. Measure Dimension (X) and Dimension (Y). Record the measurements for assembly purposes. Loosen locknuts (55). Tighten setscrews (56) in order to contact the swashplate. Tighten locknuts (55).

  23. Place the pump on a level surface. Remove rotating group (57). Keep the rotating group assembly together with the pistons.

  24. Mark the pistons so the pistons can be installed in the original bores.

  25. Remove pistons (58) and plate (59) from barrel (60).

  26. Remove pistons (58) from plate (59).
