New Procedure For Checking Hydraulic Oil Level On Series C Telehandlers {5056}

Introduction
There is a new procedure to check the hydraulic oil level on Series C Telehandlers. The new procedure makes it easier to check the hydraulic oil level, and increases the service life of the machine. Follow the procedure below when checking the hydraulic oil level for the machines specified in this article.
Alternate Procedure To Check Hydraulic Oil
- Be sure that all cylinders are fully retracted and machine is level.
- Shut down machine.
- If hydraulic oil is cold, check fluid level at the single sight gauge in the lower port on the hydraulic tank. The upper port is no longer used for checking the fluid level. The oil level should be visible in the gauge.
- If hydraulic oil is low, remove hydraulic oil fill cap. Add fluid to bring oil up to the center of the sight gauge.
- Replace hydraulic oil fill cap.
