SUBJECT: 3406E Marine Software
PROBLEM:
Two families of software are available for 3406E Marine Engines. If the incorrect software is installed, the engine may perform poorly.
SOLUTION:
For engine serial numbers that are LESS THAN 9WR03052, use the following flash: 248-8767, 248-8768, 248-8769, 248-8770, and 248-8771. For engine serial numbers that are GREATER THAN 9WR03052, use the following flash files: 248-8777, 248-8778, 248-8779, 248-8780, and 248-8781. Refer to Table 1.
