Description of Change: A new tube assembly, and a new hose assembly can be installed on the machines with new clipping parts. The new parts and routing will help reduce leaks and cracking found near the brake oil filter.

The new 462-1650 Tube As (1) replaces the former 320-7424 Tube As in the 446-5596 Service Brake Control Gp. The new 462-1649 Hose As (2) supersedes the former 399-2367 Hose As in the 446-5596 Service Brake Control Gp .

The new 462-1650 Tube As (1), and the new 462-1649 Hose As (3) are adaptable to machines SSP1-1060, RBT1-171, and SND1-131.

The new 462-1650 Tube As (1), and the new 462-1649 Hose As (2) became effective in production with machines SSP1061-UP, RBT172-UP, and SND132-UP.

The earlier machines can be upgraded to the new configuration. The complete list of material and the correct procedure needed to update the service brake control group to the current configuration is available. The needed parts are listed in the above listed special instruction, and the update procedure is explained in the above listed special instruction. The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). The special instruction is also available through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat © dealer.
