Piston Pump (Steering) - Remove and Install
Start By:
- Remove the cab.

Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. |

Personal injury can result from hot oil spray and raised work tools. Make sure all the work tools have been lowered, the oil is cool and the pressure has been released from the hydraulic system before removing any components or lines. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. |
- Remove clips (1).
- Cut cable straps (3).
- Disconnect hose assemblies (2), hose assemblies (4), and hose assemblies (5). Move all disconnected hose assemblies out of the way.

- Remove clips (7).
- Disconnect hose assembly (8) and hose assemblies (9). Move all disconnected hose assemblies out of the way.

Illustration 9 g03722817 - Position pump stack (14) onto suitable cribbing. Attach a suitable lifting device to steering piston pump (17). The weight of steering piston pump (17) is approximately
34 kg (75 lb) . Remove bolts (18) and the washers. Use the suitable lifting device in order to separate steering piston pump (17) from pump stack (14) and remove the O-ring seal.

- Install steering piston pump (17) in the reverse order of removal.
