Note: Ensure that the greasing hole of the bearing sleeve is aligned with the hole in the spindle.

1. Install bearing sleeves (21) .

2. Install spindle (20) and kingpin (19) .

3. Install pin (16), washer (17), and nut (18) .

4. Install seal (15) .

5. Install bearing cone (14). Apply Tooling (A) to the inside diameter of bearing cone (14) .

6. Install wear sleeve (13) and bearing cup (12) .

8. Install bearing cone (9) to hub assembly (10) .

9. Install hub assembly (7) to spindle assembly (8) .

10. Install O-ring seal (6) .

11. Install washer (3) and nut (4) to the spindle shaft.

    1. Tighten nut (4) to a torque of 40 ± 10 N·m (30 ± 7 lb ft). Oscillate the wheel hub clockwise and counterclockwise five to six times.

    2. Increase the tightening torque to 80 ± 10 N·m (59 ± 7 lb ft). Oscillate the wheel hub clockwise and counterclockwise five to six times.

    3. Tighten nut (4) to the torque of 115 ± 5 N·m (85 ± 4 lb ft). Oscillate the wheel hub clockwise and counterclockwise five to six times.

       Note: Steps 11.a through 11.c ensures that the bearing is preloaded to the required

    4. Loosen nut (4) to 0 Nm torque.

    5. Tighten nut (4) to 5 ± 1 N·m (44 ± 9 lb in). Oscillate the wheel hub clockwise and counterclockwise five to six times.

    6. Increase the tightening torque to the final torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 9 lb in). Back off adjusting nut (4) to the nearest locking hole. Install cotter pin (5) in the shaft. Ensure the free rotation of the hub.

       Note: Ensure that the recommended lubrication is performed at the prescribed maintenance interval.

12. Install hub cap (2) and bolt (1) .
