Usage:
1. USE THE PROPER TOOLS FOR SEAL INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT Seals are supplied mounted on two different types of sleeves. NYLON (usually red or clear) sleeves have seals that use the pulley, harmonic balancer, or crankshaft as the sealing surface. The NYLON sleeve must remain inside the seal during the installation process. The NYLON sleeve needs to be removed before installing the pulley, or harmonic balancer. STEEL wear sleeves are not to be separated from the seal. The STEEL wear sleeve seals only on the crankshaft. The NYLON installaiton sleeves are used to guide the seal onto the crankshaft during installation. The NYLON sleeve and seal should only be separated after the installation of the seal. The STEEL wear sleeve should never be separated from the seal.
