Conditions Which Generate This Code:

Note: For Off-Highway Trucks, this code corresponds with the front object detection sensor.

The diagnostic code becomes active when the object detection sensor has detected an internal failure.

System Response:

The object detection system is disabled. The status indicator for the system will illuminate red.

Test Step 1. CYCLE THE POWER TO THE SYSTEM

  1. Place the key start switch and the disconnect switch in the OFF position.

  2. Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.

  3. Check the status of the diagnostic code MID 134 - CID 3319 - FMI 12.

Expected Result:

The diagnostic code is not active.

Results:

  • YES - The diagnostic code is not active.

    Repair: The diagnostic code was caused by the internal CAN data link of the display. Cycling the power to the system has reset the display. Return the machine to normal operation.

    STOP

  • NO - The diagnostic code is still active.

    Repair: The diagnostic code was caused by an internal failure within the object detection sensor. Replace the object detection sensor.

    STOP
