Multiple cases of damper guards are breaking. All of the cases show isolators missing or worn. The result of this failure causes the guard to contact the damper bolts. After contacting the damper the bolts fail.

(1) 1P-7115 Grommet Assembly (2) 2S-6160 Hard Washer (3) 3E-4353 Hard Washer (4) 2Y-5829 Nut (5) 6V-5843 Bolt | |
- Replace the former 2W-9710 Mount As with the new grommet assembly (1).
Note: The grommet assembly is installed through the welded plate with the head towards the outside of the guard. The new grommet is shorter than the original mount assembly.
- Replace the former 222-9151 Washer with a new washer (2) .
- Tighten bolts (5) to 15 ± 3 N·m (133 ± 27 lb in).
