Improved Arc Suppressors Withstand Additional Vibration and Flexing{7337,1623}

Usage:

Machines With Air Conditioning And With Sure-Seal Connectors On The A/C Compressor.

Reference: Service Magazine Article, September 26, 1994, Page 8, 9; "Arc Suppressors Improve Life Of Air Conditioner Thermostatic Switch".

Description of Change: The arc suppressors which protect the air conditioning thermostatic switch have been improved. Change level 3 encapsulates the diode inside a solid block of plastic. Change level 4 secures the wires in the plastic block in a better manner to prevent wire breakage. Both changes improve the reliability by making the arc suppressors more rugged and able to withstand additional vibration and flexing.

Adaptable To: The improved 3E-9169 and 105-8827 Arc Suppressors are adaptable to all machines with air conditioning and the Sure-Seal connectors. The change level is stamped on the label of the arc suppressor after the part number.

NOTE: These changes apply only to the arc suppressors listed which are used with Sure-Seal connectors. The 106-8704 Arc Suppressor used with Deutsch (DT) connectors is not affected.
