Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) . Plug hose assemblies (1) with Tooling (A) . Disconnect harness assembly (2) .

2. Remove bolts (3) .

3. Remove DEF injector assembly (5) and gasket (4) . Discard gasket (4) . Discard seal (6) from DEF injector assembly (5) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install DEF injector assembly (5) in the reverse order of removal.

   Note: To maintain cleanliness, the protective caps must remain in place until the final fluid connections are made.

   Note: Install gasket (4) so that the metal is toward the Diesel Particulate Filter Group.

   1. Replace gasket (4) with a new gasket. Replace seal (6) with a new seal.

   2. Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (3) .

   3. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 5.0 ± 0.5 N·m (44 ± 4 lb in).

   4. Retighten bolts (3) to a torque of 5.0 ± 0.5 N·m (44 ± 4 lb in). Turn an additional 90°±5°.
