Oversize Pistons Not Available{1214,1216}

1.1 Liter Family Of Engines
Reference: Special Instruction, Form No. SEHS9047, "Installation Of 7C6208 Cylinder Sleeve ".
An earlier publication about the 1.1 Liter Family Of Engines indicated oversize pistons would be available. This is NOT correct. It was determined that oversize pistons were not practical for these engines. Oversize pistons were never released for parts service. The procedure to salvage a cylinder block with major cylinder bore damage is to bore the cylinder oversize and sleeve the cylinder. The Reference Special Instruction includes the information required for installing a cylinder sleeve.
