Usage:
3516 (4MJ) Marine Engines
Description of Change: A new aftercooler housing is used in the aftercooler group. The center section of the new housing has rounded corners, while the center section of the former housing had square corners. The new housing is stronger because some sharp corners, that are potential stress risers, are eliminated. Also, new longer bolts and spacers are used to fasten the aftercooler to the top cover and the bottom housing. The new bolts and spacers will provide a more secure joint between the aftercooler and the top cover and bottom housing.
Adaptable To: The chart and illustration identify the new components in the 7E8991 Aftercooler Group. The new 1007527 Housing is a direct replacement for the former 7E8988 Housing. The former housing is canceled. The new housing is in effect with 3516 Marine Engine 4MJ42.
