Application Changes For Electronic Unit Injector (EUI) Part Numbers {1290}

3176 (2YG, 7LG) Truck Engines;
Challenger 75 Tractors

Reference: This issue of Service Magazine, "New 9U6143 Power Supply Adapter Allow New Unit Injectors To Be Tested On 1U6661 Or 6V4022 Pop Testers".

The EUI part numbers used for each engine rating have changed. The change is in effect with 3176 Truck Engine 7LG7500 and with Challenger 75 Tractor engines serial number 43Z343. The change is concurrent with the change to the new 6I1532 Camshaft Assembly.

The EUI applications change as follows:

* 350 hp truck rating is a new rating effective with 7LG7500. this rating uses the 4P9510 EUI.

* 325 hp truck engine rating changes from the 4P9520 EUI to the 4P9510 EUI.

* 275 and 300 hp truck engine rating changes from the 4P9510 EUI to the 6I2870 EUI. See the Reference Articles.

* 250 hp truck engine rating is no longer available effective with 3176 Truck Engine 7LG7500.

* Challenger 75 Tractor engine changes from the 4P9520 EUI to the 4P9510 EUI.
