钢轮组件包含两个偏心配重 (1) 。 每个配重都位于一个壳体内。 偏心配重连接到单独的花键轴上。 振动马达用花键连接到右侧偏心配重的轴。 左右两侧的偏心配重轴通过连接器轴 (4) 连接起来。
振动系统运行时，振动马达 (5) 通过转动花键轴来转动偏心配重 (1) 。 由于偏心配重的重心不在轴的中心上，因此偏心配重的旋转将使钢轮产生振动。
在标准配置的机器上，振动马达 (5) 转速是固定的，因而振动频率也是固定的。 在配置了选装振动系统的机器上，振动马达的转速是可变的，因而振动频率也是可变的。 振动频率取决于转速，而振动幅度取决于偏心配重的旋转方向。 两种振动系统都可以产生两种振幅水平。
每个偏心配重 (1) 的内部都有一个空洞。 空洞里部分填充了铁砂 (2) 。 当振动系统以低振幅运行时，振动马达逆时针旋转偏心配重。 这个旋转方向将空洞中的铁砂转向偏心配重轻的一侧。 这样就使得配重的重心接近花键轴的中心，从而减小振动的幅度。
当振动系统以高振幅运行时，马达 (5) 顺时针旋转配重的轴。 在这种情况下，空洞中的铁砂 (2) 将转向偏心配重 (1) "重"的一侧。 这样就使得配重的重心远离花键轴的中心，从而增大振动的幅度。
