Introduction
The issue that is identified below does not have a permanent corrective action. Until a permanent action is known, use the interim corrective action that is identified below.
Problem
Illustration 1 | g02715000 |
Operators of the machines listed above can be concerned that the engine oil pressure appears to be low. The reading on the gauge of the monitoring system appears close to the red zone (A) on the gauge. This condition is due to the scaling factor in the software.
Solution
This issue is a software parameter which will be revised with an update. Make note that if the engine oil pressure falls below the correct level, then the machine will alert the operator with a Level 3 Warning. The action light will flash and the alarm will sound. If the machine is not generating a Level 3 Warning, continue to operate the machine as normal.

The operator can monitor the engine oil pressure using the Color Multi-Purpose Display (CMPD) by going to Machine Status - Engine. Oil Pressure "Oil Prs" under 81 kPa (11.7 psi) requires attention. Oil Pressure "Oil Prs" under 45 kPa (6.5 psi) requires immediate shutdown of the machine. This condition is a Level 3 Warning.
