The Breather for Steering Tank Is Now Relocated on 793F Off-Highway Trucks {5057}

Description of Change: The new location improves the performance of breather, since the new location is less susceptible to dust from the tires.
Adaptable To: The 157-7911 Breather is part of 278-8454 Hydraulic Oil Lines Gp .
The relocation of the breather is adaptable to the machines SSP1-435 and SND1-114.
The new location of the breather is effective in production with the machines SSP436-UP and SND115-UP.

New location of the 157-7911 Breather . | |
Use the following procedure to relocate the breather:
- Remove breather (1) from the former location that is shown on Illustration 1, save the part.
- Remove plate assembly (2) and discard the part. Install new plate assembly (5) in place of plate assembly (2) .
- Install elbow (11) with a new O-ring seal (8) .
- Build new hose assembly with new hydraulic hose (6), new coupling (3), and permanent coupling (10). Connect one end of hose assembly to elbow (11) with a new O-ring seal (4) .
- Use elbow (7), two new O-ring seals (8) to install breather (1) to plate assembly (5). Use the part that was saved in Step 1.
- Connect the other end of the hose assembly to the elbow (7) with a new O-ring seal (4) as shown in Illustration 2.
- Use a new clip (9) to secure the hose assembly as shown in Illustration 2.
