Description of Change: The new torque procedure will better hold the bolts in the circle drive. The performance of the circle dive will be improved in the field.
Adaptable To: The new torque procedure for the three 6V-5686 Bolts is now in use. The bolts are part of the 253-4677 Circle Drive Gp .
The new torque procedure can be used back to the beginning of production on the listed machines. Use the new torque procedure whenever the circle drive group is disassembled. The new torque procedure became effective in production with the following machines: JAP1291-UP, SZN672-UP, JJA355-UP, SZP256-UP, JPA961-UP, SZL574-UP, JBP126-UP and SZM223-UP

For the above listed machines, Step (5) in the above listed modules will change. The correct information follows.
(5) First torque for three bolts ... 150 ± 20 N·m (111 ± 15 lb ft)
Note: The shims must not be installed in the circle drive group.After 45 minutes, remove the three bolts and plate. Add the shims. Install the plate. Install the three bolts. Torque the three bolts to 240 ± 40 N·m (177 ± 30 lb ft). Torque the three bolts a second time to 240 ± 40 N·m (177 ± 30 lb ft).
