Description of Change: The crankcase guard gp has been updated in production to an improved design. The improved crankcase guard gp has stronger more robust mounting points.

The 229-5256 Crankcase Guard Gp (1) can be replaced with the current version on earlier machines. The crankcase guard gp mounting points can also be strengthened. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS5750, "Procedure To Strengthen The Transmission Guard Mounting Points On Certain Articulated Trucks".
