Service Magazine SEPD1256, 22 March 2011, " Output Transfer Gear Lubrication Improvements for the Articulated Trucks". Disregard existing article. Refer to the following information

Description of Change: Improvements to the lubrication of the output transfer gear have been made. The improvements will allow for better lubrication of the bearings on the output transfer gears. The improvements will help reduce the possibilities of failure due to lack of lubrication.

Adaptable To: The improved lubrication will be aided by the new 355-0166 Shaft As that replaces the former 204-0743 Shaft As and 8M-5255 O-Ring Seal. The new 355-0166 Shaft As and two new 9X-7566 O-Ring Seals. The use of the new parts will align the oil passage to avoid blocked passages due to stack up tolerances. The new 355-0166 Shaft As and new 355-0168 Cage As improve the alignment of the oil passages to insure proper flow of oil. The flow of oil will be to the 9W-7925 Tapered Roller Bearing As, 2K-9295 Tapered Roller Bearing As, and 208-1729 Bearing As in all applications.

Note: If the 204-0743 Shaft As is replaced by the new 355-0166 Shaft As. the new 9X-7566 O-Ring Seals will also need to be used.

Note: The inner seal on the bearing cage has been removed in the new design.
