3114 AND 3116 DIESEL TRUCK ENGINES Caterpillar

1. Loosen clamp (2) to disconnect line (1) that is connected to the inlet of the air cleaner group.

2. Loosen hose clamps (6) and (7) to disconnect the inlet hose that is routed between the air cleaner group and the turbocharger.

3. Loosen bolt (3) in clamp (4). Slide air cleaner group (5) out of clamp (4) and off of the air cleaner group mounting bracket.

NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the air cleaner group.

4. Install the air cleaner group in the reverse order of removal.
