Transmission Breather - Clean

Usage:

785D DMC
Note: The OEM Off-Highway Truck may be equipped with either a truck body or a OEM attachment. The operation of the OEM attachment is very similar to the operation of the truck body.

------ WARNING! ------

When it is necessary to work under the machine with the body (bed) raised, attach the body (bed) retaining cable to the rear tow point. Install the rear tow point pin through the end of the retaining cable.

Failure to properly secure the body (bed) may result in personal injury or death.

Note: In order to access the top of the rear chassis, use a portable access system (ladder, stair assembly, man lift, or other portable access system) that is suitable and compliant to local regulations.

  1. Park the machine on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

  1. Raise the truck body or OEM attachment to the fully raised position and install the truck body retaining cable or OEM attachment retaining cable to the rear tow point pin. For the proper procedure, refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Cable (Truck Body Retaining)".

    (1) Breather for the transmission tank

  1. Remove breather (1) .

  1. Wash the breather in a clean, nonflammable solvent. Allow the breather to air dry.

  1. Install the clean breather.

  1. Remove the truck body retaining cable or the OEM attachment retaining cable and lower the truck body or OEM attachment.
