  1. Install mount assembly (115) and bolts (116). Tighten bolts (116) to a torque of 1050 ± 150 N·m (774 ± 110 lb ft).

  2. Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to engine (111) and the torque converter. The combined weight of engine (111) and the torque converter is approximately 4445 kg (9800 lb). Install engine (111) and the torque converter.

  3. Install front engine mount bolts (114).

  4. Install cap (113) and bolts (112) to the rear of the engine. Tighten bolts (112) to a torque of 270 ± 40 N·m (200 ± 30 lb ft). Repeat for the opposite side.

    For Tooling (C)

  5. Place Tooling (C) under the front frame of the machine, as shown.

  6. Place Tooling (C1) under the front frame of the machine, as shown. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1328, "Lift Group (Stand - 60 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (C1).

  7. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (109). The weight of tube assembly (109) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Install tube assembly (109). Install any shims (108) that were present. Install bolts (107) to each side of tube assembly (109). Remove Tooling (C) or (C1).

  8. Install drain valve (110) for the engine oil.

  39. Attach a suitable lifting device to the front of drive shaft (49). The weight of the front of drive shaft (49) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). Place drive shaft (49) into position and install bolts (50). Remove the suitable cribbing.

  48. Attach a suitable lifting device to the muffler and exhaust system (28). The combined weight of the muffler and exhaust system (28) is approximately 88 kg (195 lb). Install the muffler and exhaust system (28). Install bolts (29).

  51. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to air cleaner assemblies (23). The weight of air cleaner assemblies (23) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Install air cleaner assemblies (23) and bolts (24).

  58. Move refrigerant compressor (11) into position and install bolts (12). Install bracket (10). Connect three harness assemblies (9) to refrigerant compressor (11).

  59. Install belt (8). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace". Install guard (7).

  62. Move cable assembly (1) into position. Connect cable assembly (1) and install clip (2).

  63. Remove Tooling (A) from the frame for the bed.

  64. Fill the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

  65. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".

End By:

  1. Install the radiator.
