Note: Some of the Motor Graders may have different implements. The number of control valves in each valve group may vary.

Implement Control Valves

Illustration 2g01330288

Control valves (1) are located at the front of the machine.

Illustration 3g01330289

Control valves (2) are located on the frame in front of the cab.

There are eight implement control valves on each machine. There is a maximum of fourteen implement control valves that can be installed on each machine. The implement control valves are mounted in two different locations. Valve bank (1) is mounted on the frame near the front of the machine. Valve bank (2) is mounted on the frame in front of the cab. The implement control valves direct oil to the corresponding implements.

Control Manifold (Steering Pilot Oil Backup)

Illustration 4g01330285

Steering pilot valve (3) is located in front of the cab. Valve (3) directs pilot oil to the steering control valve.

Implement Pilot Oil Filter

Illustration 5g01329921

Implement pilot oil filter (4) is located at the rear of the machine. The implement pilot oil filter removes debris from the pilot oil for the implement solenoids.

Control Manifold

Illustration 6g01329944

Control manifold (5) is located at the service center near the rear of the machine. Manifold (5) directs pilot oil to the implement control valves.

Hydraulic Tank

Illustration 7g01330269

Hydraulic tank (7) is located between the engine and the radiator. Tank (7) stores oil.

Piston Pump (Implement and Steering)

Illustration 8g01330022

Piston pump (8) is located below the hydraulic tank. Pump (8) is a variable displacement axial piston pump.

Pump Control Valve

Illustration 9g01330014

Pump control valve (9) is attached to the pump for the implement and steering. Pump control valve (9) keeps pump flow at the level that is needed to fulfill the requirements of the implement and steering system.

Oil Filter (Hydraulic Return)

Illustration 10g01330283

Hydraulic filter (10) is located in front of hydraulic tank (7) . Filter (10) removes debris from the hydraulic system.

Joystick Controls

Illustration 11g01330284

Joystick controls (11) are located inside the cab on both sides of the operator's seat. Controls (11) send an electrical signal to the solenoids of the hydraulic system.

Steering Control Valve

Illustration 12g01330287

Steering control valve (12) is located in front of the cab. Valve (12) directs hydraulic fluid to the steering system and the implement system.

Centershift Lock

Illustration 13g01329919

Centershift lock (13) is located on the center of the link bar. The centershift lock prevents the circle from moving to either side of the machine when the centershift lock is engaged.

Blade Accumulators (If Equipped)

Illustration 14g01330080

Blade cushion accumulators (14) are mounted on the frame in front of the blade lift cylinders. Accumulators (14) cushion the head end of the cylinder from sudden rises in pressure.
