Description of Change: Anti-seize compound will no longer be used on wheel groups for some Off-Highway Trucks. Instead, a higher torque will be used when the wheel group is serviced. The higher torque will ensure proper bolt stretch and consistent bolt stretch. Proper bolt stretch will help to ensure that the bolts remain tightened.
Adaptable To: Anti-seize compound is no longer used on the 1D-4638 Bolts in the 2G-5860 Rear Wheel Gp. Instead, the installation torque will increase from 710 ± 25 N·m (520 ± 20 lb ft) to 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 80 lb ft).
Anti-seize compound is no longer used on the 1D-4638 Bolts in the 8X-9972 Rear Wheel Gp. Instead, the installation torque will increase from 750 ± 70 N·m (550 ± 50 lb ft) to 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 80 lb ft).

The removal of the anti-seize compound and the new torque specification are effective with the following machines:
- 769D (S/N: BBB589-UP)
- 771D (S/N: BCA422-UP)
- 773E (S/N: BDA976-UP)
- 775E (S/N: BEC645-UP)
Note: Ensure that the anti-seize compound has been completely removed if the 1D-4638 Bolts are reused. Also, new 1D-4638 Bolts can be used as well.
