Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

- In order to fill the case of the implement pump, the steering pump, and the fan pumps, fully open the fill valve that is located between the hydraulic tank and the implement pump. Refer to illustration 11.
- Attach a purge line to the pressure tap that is located in the case drain line above the fan pump. Refer to illustration 12.
- Begin filling the hydraulic tank with oil. Once oil begins to flow out of the purge line, remove the purge line and fully close the fill valve.
- Continue to fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
Note: During initial start-up, the engine should never run higher than low idle until the hydraulic system has been cycled and the hydraulic tank oil level has been readjusted to the correct level.
