  1. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to the rear section of boom (18). The weight of boom (1) is approximately 500 kg (1100 lb). Install the rear section of boom (18) .

  1. Lower the temperature of pin (21). Install pin (21). Install stop (20) and bolts (19). Repeat for the other side.

  1. Connect hose assemblies (17) .

  1. Lower the temperature of bearings (15) and (16). Install bearings (15) and (16) .

  1. Install Tooling (B), Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to boom (1). The weight of boom (1) is approximately 455 kg (1000 lb).

  1. Install boom (1). Install Tooling (A) and (D) under boom (1). Install stops (14) .

  1. Use the suitable lifting device, Tooling (B), and Tooling (F) in order to retract boom (1). Remove the suitable lifting device.

  1. Install pin assembly (12). Use Tooling (C) in order to install retaining ring (11).

  1. Connect hose assemblies (10) to boom (1). Install nuts (9) .

  1. Position light assembly (7) and install bolts (8). Repeat for the other side.

  1. Install new cable straps (6) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rod end of compensating cylinder (4). The weight of compensating cylinder (4) is approximately 28 kg (60 lb). Raise compensating cylinder (4) and install pin assembly (5) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rod end of boom cylinder (2). The weight of the end of boom cylinder (2) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Raise boom cylinder (2) and install pin assembly (3) .

  1. Remove Tooling (A) from boom (1) .

End By:

  1. Install the quick coupler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Quick Coupler - Remove and Install".
  2. Install the tilt cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Cylinder - Remove and Install".
