PROBLEM
Show/hide table
The existing 313-2758 Water Pump needs to be replaced on certain C175-16 Generator Sets. The existing pump can fail the shaft seal and cause a coolant leak out of the weep hole.
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 15% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
ACTION REQUIRED
Show/hide table
1. Replace the existing water pump with a new 10R-9042 Water Pump.
2. Update the Engine Electronic Control Module (ECM) software for the affected unit with the latest file in SISWEB or TMI.
Refer to the attached Rework Procedure for details.
NOTE: Where applicable, REBE6778 to update the flash file and wiring to the Temperature Control Module may be performed in conjunction with this Service Letter.
