A new adjustment procedure for the 201-5583 Cap is now available. Bearing cover (1) needs to contact auger bearing (2). The new placement of the bearing cover will help eliminate material penetration into the bearing.

Adjustment Procedure

1. Raise the screed off the ground and set the screed travel lock pin in place.

2. Loosen the nuts that secure the bearing cover.

3. The cover must be tight against the bearing.

4. Tighten the nuts to 70 ± 15 N·m (52 ± 11 lb ft).

5. Repeat step 1 through step 4 on the opposite side.

6. Raise the screed and release the screed travel lock pin.

7. Lower the screed to the ground.
