注: 834H 轮式推土机和 836H 垃圾填埋压实机配有 STIC 转向。 836H 垃圾填埋压实机可能配备 STIC 转向或方向盘转向。 转向先导阀 (6) 用于配有方向盘转向的机器。 转向先导阀 (11) 用于配有 STIC 转向的机器。 转向先导阀 (6) 和 (11) 在高压转向系统示意图内可以互换。

高压转向系统的主要部件有:液压油箱 (15), 转向泵 (12), 转向控制阀 (5), 转向泵备用安全阀 (4), 左转向油缸 (1) 和 右转向油缸 (2) 。

转向泵 (12) 从液压油箱 (15) 中吸油。 压力油从转向泵 (12) 流向转向控制阀 (5) 。 油随后流向滑阀 (9) 。 滑阀 (9) 移动,从而引导压力油流向转向油缸。 提供有箱体排油滤清器 (13) ,用于过滤箱体排油。 旁通单向阀 (14) 允许油绕过发生堵塞的滤清器。

如果要求左转,则滑阀 (9) 向左移动。 这会使压力油流向转向油缸 (1) 的连杆端。 同时,压力油还流向转向油缸 (2) 的缸盖端。 这会使机器左转。

如果要求右转,则滑阀 (9) 向右移动。 这会使压力油流向转向油缸 (2) 的连杆端。 同时,压力油还流向转向油缸 (1) 的缸盖端。 这会使机器右转。

转向泵的备用安全阀 (4) 用来限制转向系统内的压力大小。 这有助于防止系统部件过度磨损。

如果外力试图强制机器转弯,且如果滑阀 (9) 在空档位置,压力会升高。 压力的增加将打开转向油缸交叉安全阀 (7) 。 转向跨接安全阀 (7) 可确保转向油缸 (1) 和转向油缸 (2) 内的压力不会超出规定范围。
