The new adapter assembly (1) is now available for use on the rear suspension of certain 793C Off-Highway Trucks. The six 7Y-5217 Bolts that are on the upper suspension pin are located in a confined space. There is limited clearance between the bolt heads and the tire. The new tooling facilitates the installation and the removal of the six 7Y-5217 Bolts. In order to install the bolts, use the following components: adapter assembly (1), adapter (2), twenty three inch extension (3) and torque wrench (4).

Do not attempt to use torque wrench (4) in order to break loose the bolts. Use adapter assembly (1), adapter (2), and twenty three inch extension (3) in order to loosen the bolts. The combined length of adapter (2) and twenty three inch extension (3) provides the torque that is needed in order to loosen the bolts. |
