Battery and Battery Cable - Separate and Connect

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool. |
- Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
- Open the access cover above the batteries.

Illustration 1 g01126692 - Remove cable assembly (5) from battery (4).
- Remove cable assembly (1) from battery (2).
- Remove cable assembly (3) that connects batteries (2) and (4).
- Install cable assembly (3) that connects batteries (2) and (4).
- Install cable assembly (1) to battery (2).
- Install cable assembly (5) to battery (4).
- Close the access cover above the batteries.
- Turn the disconnect switch to the ON position.
