The piston pump is located on the right side of the machine. The piston pump is connected to the drive pump. The piston pump provides oil for the piston motor. The piston pump is a variable displacement pump that is controlled by the control valve.
The piston pump contains the load sensing valve and the pressure compensator valve.
The load sensing valve maintains a constant pressure differential in the control valve. The pressure setting for the load sensing valve is approximately 1600 kPa (232 psi) at 1875 rpm.
The pressure compensator valve works as the pressure relief valve. The pressure compensator valve reduces high pressure in the piston pump. The pressure setting for the pressure compensator valve is approximately 25000 kPa (3626 psi).
The piston pump draws oil through the suction strainer in the hydraulic tank. Oil from the piston pump then flows to the control valve in order to supply oil to the piston motor.
