Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Attach a suitable lifting device in order to support transmission (23). The weight of transmission (23) is approximately 1225 kg (2700 lb). Install transmission (23) and install nuts (24). Install bolts (22).

2. Connect pins (19) to spools (18).

3. Position couplings (18), (20) and (21) to the original location and tighten nuts (17).

4. Install split flanges (16) and install bolts (15).

5. Install three clips (13) and install three bolts (12) .

6. Install switch (14).

7. Connect three harness assemblies (11).

8. Position guard (8) under the machine.

9. Attach a suitable lifting device to guard (8).

10. Raise guard (8) and install pin (9). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

11. Use Tooling (B) to raise guard (8).

12. Install two bolts (10). Repeat this step of the opposite side.

13. Remove Tooling (A) from both sides.

14. Install bolts (5). Install hose assemblies (6). Install tube assembly (7).

15. Remove bolts (4) and lifting eyes (2). Position clips (3). Install bolts (4).

16. Connect three hose assemblies (1).

17. Fill the power train system with power train oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission and Differential Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.

End By:

1. Install the brake actuator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Brake Actuator - Install".

2. Install the rear chassis support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Install".

3. Install the radiator guard and support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Guard and Aupport, Aftercooler, and Radiator - Install".
