Mematikan engine dengan segera setelah bekerja dengan beban dapat mengakibatkan panas yang berlebihan serta keausan yang lebih cepat pada komponen-komponen engine. Gunakan petunjuk pada prosedur penghentian berikut, untuk membiarkan engine menjadi dingin dan mencegah temperatur berlebih pada rumah tengah turbocharger (bila terpasang), yang dapat menyebabkan permasalahan oli membentuk kerak (coking). |
- Operasikan engine selama lima menit pada kecepatan terendah. Prosedur ini memungkinkan temperatur komponen menjadi sama rata.
- Putar kunci kontak engine ke posisi MATI untuk mematikan engine.
