SUBJECT: 3406E Marine Software

PROBLEM:

The following engine flash files are available in SIS: 227-3839, 227-3840, 227-3841, 227-3842, and 227-3843. If these engines are installed into engines that have a serial number less than 9WR03052, the engine may perform poorly.

SOLUTION:

If the engine serial number is less than 9WR03052, discontinue use of the above-listed flash files. For engine serial numbers that are less than 9WR03052, use the following flash files: 208-1298, 208-1299, 208-1300, 208-1301, and 208-1302.
