NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS44438" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

ACTION REQUIRED
1. Before going to the engine, download all necessary software from SIS Web as called out in the Parts Needed for the Affected Product. Note: SIS Web only displays the latest available flash file. 2. Before updating the software, create and save a full Product Status Report and an ECM replacement file for the available ECMs. Note: Failure to create Product Status Reports and ECM replacement files could result in a loss of configuration information which would require DSN assistance and create unnecessary downtime. 3. Flash engine software as called out in the Parts Needed for the Affected Product, or the latest files displayed in SIS Web. 4. As needed, upload the ECM replacement files taken earlier (in Cat ET: Use Service -> Copy Configuration -> ECM Replacement, select the desired file saved earlier, select Program ECM, select the appropriate ECM. To do another ECM click Load from File then select the desired replacement file). |
