Description of Change: New thrust washers, planet gears and spacers are being used in the 7U-1249 Differential Group (interaxle differential group) on the D40D and D400D Articulated Trucks. The new thrust washers, made of plastic, will improve the service life of the interaxle differential. The former thrust washers were made of bronze.

Adaptable To: The new thrust washers, planet gears and spacers are in effect with D40D (2JJ89) and D400D (8TF488-495, 554, 557-565, 571-Up and 4EJ21) Articulated Trucks. The new parts, when used together, are a direct replacement for the former parts.

Parts Location. (1) 9G-1777 Disc. (2) 2U-9301 Planet Gear. (3) 2U-9302 Spacer. (4) 2U-9304 Spacer. (5) 2U-9303 Planet Gear.
