Usage:
(1) Deutsch connector. Pin "C" is plugged.
(2) Bracket.
(3) Outlet port to sump (1/8 NPT). The outlet port is labeled "NC".
(4) Inlet port (1/8 NPT). The inlet port is labeled "NO".
(5) Adapter fitting. Tighten to a torque of ... 4 ± 1 N·m (38 ± 7 lb in)
(6) Retaining nut. Tighten to a torque of ... 4 ± 1 N·m (38 ± 7 lb in)
(7) Outlet port to fan (1/8 NPT). The outlet port is labeled "COM".
NOTE: Outlet ports (3) and (7) must be aligned with the bracket and spaced 180 degrees apart.
NOTE: When the fan clutch solenoid valve is mounted on the left-side of the engine, valve etching; "NC", "NO", "COM" must be towards the side of the block. If not, loosen the retaining nut (6) and rotate the base so that the etching is to the block. Tighten the retaining nut (6) to the specified torque.
ECM Controlled System
(1) Nut. Tighten to a torque of ... 12 ± 2 N·m (105 ± 18 lb in)
(2) Valve group. Tighten to a torque of ... 30 ± 5 N·m (22 ± 4 lb ft)
(3) Outlet port to sump (9/16-18 THD). The outlet port is labeled "T".
(4) Oil manifold.
(5) Outlet port to fan (9/16-18 THD). The outlet port is labeled "C".
(6) Inlet port (9/16-18 THD). The inlet port is labeled "P".
