In severe applications, excess engine vibration may have adverse effects to the harnesses in the battery wiring group. The adverse effect occurs where the harness is secured to a fixed point. Refer to Illustration 1.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

The 422-2917 Chassis Harness As or 444-9942 Chassis Harness As on certain 303E CR Mini Hydraulic Excavators may be damaged during machine operation.

In severe applications, excess engine vibration may have adverse effects to the harnesses where the harness is secured to a fixed point.

Most of the observed cases of harness failure have resulted in an alternator charge issue.
