Description Of Change: Improved software is now used which will improve the hydraulic oil cooling performance on F-Series Wheeled Excavators, Material Handlers, and Mobile Hydraulic Power Units in low ambient temperatures (below 0° C (32° F)).

The new software will keep the machine warmer during periods of light work loads. The software reduces the minimum fan speed to 350 rpm, from 400 rpm, when the ambient temperature is 14° C (57° F) or below. The minimum fan speed is reduced to 450 rpm, from 600 rpm, when ambient temperatures are above 14° C (57° F). The reduction in minimum fan speed will help prevent hydraulic oil overcooling in low ambient temperatures.

Adaptable To: The 523-6562 Software Gp. is adaptable to the machines within the listed serial numbers, and is effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers.

The new software is available in the form of a flash file through the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). A newer part number may be available. SIS web only displays the latest available flash file.
