Introduction
The procedure to discharge and service ride control accumulators has been updated. Use the solution that is identified below to discharge and service the ride control accumulator.
Problem
Currently there are several different styles of nitrogen charging valves on ride control accumulators. Some Testing and Adjusting manuals may not provide the correct instructions to discharge and service the accumulators equipped with the different nitrogen charging valves.
Solution
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS5464, "Accumulator Discharging and Charging Procedures" for the identification of the charging valves, required tooling, discharging procedures, and charging procedures.
