Specification for 304-5277 Flywheel Housing Gp
Item  Qty  Part  Specification Description
Before installation of the flywheel housing, inspect the front face of the flywheel housing and the rear face of the rear housing. The components must be free of the following substances: oil, fuel, water, assembly compounds, and any other contaminants.
Check assembled installation depth of the crankshaft seal group with the crankshaft in any axial position.
Use the following procedure to tighten the flywheel housing bolts. Tighten the bolts in the numerical sequence as shown in the Illustration 2.
245-3803 Bolt  Tighten bolt (1) through bolt (2) to 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft)
2H-6488 Bolt  Tighten bolt (3) through bolt (10) to 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft)
16  0L-1143 Bolt  Tighten bolt (11) through bolt (26) to 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft)
The seal driver must not contact the seal within the 177.80 ± 0.25 mm (7.000 ± 0.010 inch) diameter.
The seal and the sleeve of the crankshaft seal group must not be used if the seal and the sleeve have been separated.
Distance from the sleeve to the seal is 6.15 to 6.55 mm (0.242 to 0.258 inch)
Installation depth of the sleeve from the rear face of the crank shaft is 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.06 ± 0.02 inch)
