Installation Procedure

Note: Make sure that the pin bores in the stick and in the boom are thoroughly clean and free of dirt and debris prior to the installation of the stick on the boom.

1. Reinstall pin assembly (3) and bolt (2) onto stick (5) and attach a suitable lifting device, as shown. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to the opposite end of stick (5), as shown. The weight of stick (5) is approximately 1451 kg (3200 lb).

2. Position stick (5) onto the boom.

3. Attach a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (7). Use Tooling (D) (not shown) to position pin assembly (7). Install pin assembly (7) and bolt (6). The weight of pin assembly (7) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Remove Tooling (D) from pin assembly (7) .

4. Remove bolt (2) and pin assembly (3). Refer to illustration 1.

5. Connect hose assemblies (4). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

6. Attach a suitable lifting device to stick cylinder (1). The weight of stick cylinder (1) is approximately 193 kg (425 lb). Position stick cylinder (1) and install pin assembly (3) and bolt (2). Remove the suitable block and the suitable lifting device.

7. Start the machine and remove Tooling (A) .

End By: Install the bucket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket - Install".
