Assembly Procedure

1. Check the condition of all seals and of all valve components. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Apply clean hydraulic oil to any moving parts.

Note: The plugs on the manifold are of three different sizes.

2. Install plugs (13), plug (14) and fitting (15) on manifold (1). The torque for plugs (13) is 20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft). The torque for plugs (14) is 3.0 ± 0.5 N·m (27 ± 4 lb in). The torque for fitting (15) is 20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

3. Install the rings and O-ring seals (12) on cartridge assembly (11) .

4. Install cartridge assembly (11) on manifold (1). The torque for cartridge assembly (11) is 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft).

5. Install coil assembly (9) and nut (10) on manifold (1). The torque for nut (10) is 3.0 ± 0.5 N·m (27 ± 4 lb in).

6. Install the rings and O-ring seals (8) on valves (7) .

7. Install valves (7) on manifold (1). The torque for valves (7) is 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft).

8. Install O-ring seals (6) on cartridge assemblies (5) .

9. Install cartridge assemblies (5) on manifold (1). The torque for cartridge assemblies (5) is 20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

10. Install the following items on manifold (1) : coil assemblies (4), spacers (3) and nuts (2). The torque for nuts (2) is 9.5 ± 1.5 N·m (7.0 ± 1.1 lb ft).

End By: Install the proportional brake valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Brake Valve (Proportional) (Traction Control System) - Install".
