- Push seal (7) into pump body (9). Ensure that the open side of the seal with the coiled spring is toward the drive end of the pump body.
- Support the body of the pump on a press. Press bearing (6) into pump body (9). The bearing should seat against the flange face of the inner seal housing.
- Support the inner race of bearing (4) on a press. Press shaft (3) onto bearing (4). The shoulder of the shaft should be against the bearing.
- Support the body of the pump on a press. Use an adapter that will fit over the inner race and the outer race of bearing (4). Install spacers (5) onto shaft (3) and press the shaft assembly into the pump body. The shaft should pass through bearing (6) and seal (7). When the shoulder of shaft (3) is against bearing (6), install snap ring (2) .
- Support the splined end of shaft (3) on a press. Press drive gear (1) onto the shaft. The gear should seat against the shoulder of the shaft.
- Install water seal (10) onto shaft (3). Ensure that the carbon face of the seal is toward the impeller end of the pump. Press the water seal fully into the pump body.
- Install washer (11) against the carbon face of water seal (10). Install the snap ring (12) .
Note: In order to prevent leakage, the carbon face of water seal (10) must be in contact with washer (11) of the water seal.
- Install wear plate (13) into pump body (9) .
- Install cam (14) into the pump body (9). Tighten screw (8) in order to secure the cam in the pump body.
- Apply 1P-0808 Multipurpose Grease to the blades of the new impeller (15). Install the impeller onto shaft (3). The blades of the impeller should be oriented toward the clockwise direction. Refer to illustration 2. Install a new end plug (16) onto the impeller.
