The inlet manifold air pressure is a good indication of the engine load.

To measure the inlet manifold air pressure, remove plug (3) from inlet air manifold (2). Connect a line from the opening to an absolute pressure gauge in the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Group. Operate the engine under a load.
