冷却液经弯管流入水套水泵 (4) 。 弯管与水套水冷却液源 (5) 连接。 之后,冷却液分流。部分冷却液被输送到发动机机油冷却器 (2) ,

冷却液向上流经水套。 冷却液绕缸套自下而上流动。 靠近缸套顶部的水套较小。 靠近缸套顶部的温度也最高。 这一结构使冷却液的流速加快,从而提高缸套的冷却速度。 冷却液从缸套顶部流入缸盖,并流经温度最高的零件周围。 然后,冷却液流到缸盖顶部, 经过弯管, 流入各排气缸的水套歧管。 冷却液由歧管流入调节器壳体 (3) 。

调节器壳体 (3) 分成上部液流段和下部液流段两部分构造。 调节器壳体使用四个温度调节器。 这四个温度调节器的感温包在壳体下部的冷却液内。 在调节器打开之前,冷的冷却液会被输送到旁通管。 这部分冷却液会被送回水套水泵 (4) 的进口。 随着冷却液的温度升高,调节器会慢慢打开,流过旁通管的冷却液会减少。 所有冷却液都会经由出口输送到水套水冷却液源 (5) 。 与此同时,调节器壳体 (3) 上部的冷却液会流入涡轮增压器的轴承套 (6) 。 然后,这部分冷却液会流回散热器 (5) 。

在 SCAC 冷却系统中,冷却液从 SCAC 冷却液源(散热器) (11) 流入辅助泵 (9) 。 辅助泵将冷却液输送到后冷器 (10) 。 从后冷器流出后,冷却液流入制动器机油冷却器 (8) 。 最后,冷却液从制动器机油冷却器流回 SCAC 冷却液源(散热器) (11) 。
