Relay Circuits
The relays for the Rear Wheel Assist (RWA) are controlled by the Limit Switch (Reverse) and the boost switch. The first relay passes the boost signal to the other relays if the propel handle is in the reverse position. The signal allows the other two relays to invert the signals from the controller to the rear propel pump EDC when the boost switch is activated and the propel handle is in the reverse position. The controller is set up to provide boost in the forward direction only.
The relay has five terminals. The terminal "85" receives the signal from the limit switch (reverse). The terminal "86" is connected to frame ground. The terminal "30" connects to the switch (rear wheel assist). The terminal "87" connects to terminal "85". The terminal "87a" connects to the (RWA) pump.
Diodes
The diodes act as a logic "OR" circuit. The output on A800-YL is +battery only if the propel handle is in the forward position or the reverse position. The output is 0 volts if the handle is in the Neutral position.
