Battery - Clean/Check
- In order to access the battery compartment, tilt the operator's platform. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Platform Tilting"for more information.
- Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Turn all switches to the OFF position. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the battery disconnect switch key.
- Clean (2) battery surface with a clean cloth. Keep the terminals (1) clean and keep the terminals (1) coated with petroleum jelly. Install the post cover after you coat the post with petroleum jelly.

- Tighten battery retainers (3) on all of the batteries.
- Install the battery disconnect switch key. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position. Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
- Lower the operator's platform. In order to lower the operator's platform, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Platform Tilting"for more information.
